Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in the PET Scan department. This role requires a strong clinical background, the ability to work independently, and prior travel experience. Centra is a large teaching hospital—traveler must be comfortable working alongside students and new staff.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET / CT procedures using GE Discovery and Toshiba-Siemens Ecam equipment.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety and quality protocols.
Monitor patient response and ensure accurate imaging acquisition.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow departmental workflow standards.
Participate in weekend rotation every 3rd weekend (Saturday & Sunday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM for call).
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, students, and new hires in a teaching environment.
Schedule & Expectations
Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM (10H Day)
40 hours per week
Weekend rotation : Every 3rd weekend
Orientation : Every other Monday
Facility may cancel up to 36 hours per assignment due to census variance.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar Nuclear Medicine role.
Prior travel experience required for all Centra positions.
Certification :
NMTCB OR ARRT (N) certification.
Skills Checklist and fully detailed work history (with explanations for all gaps >
90 days).
Must be able to work with diverse patient populations in a fast-paced, teaching-hospital environment.
