Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our well-established client in Northwest Houston!

Pay DOE - $25-$27 / hr.

Working 4-10's Day Shift

Key Responsibilities :

• Machining and Setup : Operate machine tools such as saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce components and parts.
• Record Keeping : Document die repair and maintenance activities.
• Design Improvement : Examine existing dies, tools, and fixtures, and recommend design modifications for better construction and functionality.
• Metal Stock Preparation : Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
• Quality Verification : Check machined parts and die components for conformance to specifications.
• Assembly and Positioning : Lift and position parts on worktables or surface plates, and assemble components according to design specifications.
• Inspection : Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of assembled parts.
• Maintenance Recommendations : Suggest preventive maintenance or tooling modifications to enhance efficiency or tooling lifespan.
• Specifications Analysis : Review blueprints, sketches, and models to determine materials and machines needed for fabrication.

Collaboration : Work with the Operations Manager and other team members on tooling design and improvements.
