Equipment Maintenance Helper [Material Recovery Facility Only]

We have the following position at our San Bernardino division:

Material Recovery Facility - Equipment Maintenance Helper

• Will perform inspections, cleaning, maintenance and repairs of Material Recovery Facility equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Will follow safe work practices and adhere to all safety rules and practices.
• Will assist and support the Equipment Maintenance team and activities.
• Will perform inspections, cleaning, maintenance and repairs of Material Recovery Facility equipment not limited to balers, conveyors, screens, magnets, etc.
• Will perform repair and maintenance of facility building and grounds
• Will use hand tools and other equipment for the performance of these activities
• Will use welder, torch, and grinder in the performance of their job
• Will work in support of Equipment Maintenance team and independently on smaller jobs/tasks
• Will timely and accurately document work performed on Fleetmate work orders
• Will perform other repairs and duties as assigned by management.

• Have good judgment skills.
• Have good organizational and cleanliness skills to ensure a safe and organized work area.
• Be able to use hand tools, portable power tools, and other equipment as needed.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• 1 year of previous equipment maintenance and repair experience is required.
• Vocational school and/or training in equipment maintenance and repair desired.
• Previous experience in the use of hand and small power tools/equipment.

PHYSICAL:

• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
• Will work in outdoor areas and be exposed to weather conditions-heat, cold, rain, and wind.
