Assembler I - 1st Shift
Eaton's CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking an Assembler I - 1st Shift to join our team. At our Raleigh, NC location they engineer, manufacture, and ship products related to electrical power distribution to six different segments. Some of those include utilities, institutions, aerospace, and residential. The Assembler I role offers a 40-hour paid work week with hours being 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm Monday-Friday. With full time employment you are offered benefits (medical, dental, & vision), 401K percent match plan, and vacation. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. What you'll do :
- The Assembler I will build sub-assemblies and assemblies involving complex and repetitive wiring for uninterruptible power systems (UPS).
- In this function you will :
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Build sub-assemblies and assemblies using standard operating procedures.
- Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
- Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Raleigh plant quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
- Adhere environmental, health, safety rules and regulations.
- Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
- Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.

Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.Ability to work daily and / or weekend overtime, willingness to flex to different areas or local plants as needed.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to distinguish colored wiring.Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
