The Job~

1. Under general supervision, performs assembly operations at a work station or bench using basic hand tools.

2. Work together with assigned group to complete production orders by the expected date.

3. May do hand soldering, work under microscopes, and / or do rework and repairs on standard assemblies.

4. Perform calibrations and variables testing requiring judgment to assure conformance to specifications.

5. Perform troubleshooting and repairs with assistance.

6. Perform standard and non-standard setups exercising judgment in adjusting and documenting changes.

7. Verify part quality.

8. Use keyboard and computer terminal to enter data into the SAP screens as required.

9. Actively participate in process improvement and recommend changes to manufacturing procedures.

10. Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area.

11. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.

12. Build sub-assemblies which require multiple people working on it or build a new instrument from the beginning to end

Knowledge

1. Basic computer skills including the ability to check reports and record information. Entry level SAP.

2. Ability to train others on standard procedures and assemblies.

3. Proficient at addition, subtraction, multiplication, and making measurements.

4. Proficient at reading instructions and procedures.

5. General working knowledge of measuring devices and test equipment.

REQUIRED :

1. Min. one year experience in Production / Manufacturing Environment

2. Requires soldering and / or microscope experience.

3. Some cells will require additional and / or specific types of assembly experience. Example : small parts mechanical assembly, high volume assembly, sensor mounting.
