Database Developer

What you’ll do?

Responsibilities

Understand the organization's data to skillfully carry out the company's database design projects.

You would identify requirements for a large scale database, propose it to the engineering head.

You would execute database modeling, database design as per the requirements to build a robust platform.

Understand existing code base and participate in performance tuning.

Work with the Data team to troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues.

Maintain source-code repository.

Create and maintain user and technical documentation.

Improve database engineering standards and processes.

Automate recurring operational and maintenance tasks.

Perform Backup / Recovery and Integrity Checks.

Monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Who you are?

Requirements

BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

Deep understanding of RDBMs concepts.

Strong experience with T-SQL and SQL Server 2019.

Source control - Git

Experience with development and fine tuning stored procedures, functions, etc.

Experience with database design, replication, migration, partitioning, and so on.

Experience with SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools) and SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio).

Experience with automation for repetitive tasks.

Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.

Experience with installing / configuring / upgrading SQL Server software and related products on AWS and other cloud providers.

Ability to interact with non-technical teams.

Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.

Ability to independently identify problems and recommend solutions.

Ability to break down complex problems into approachable milestones.
