Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Security Clearance in Stafford, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Learn more : aus.com / earnmore. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, control access as needed, and document observations with clear communication. Pay Rate : $29.00 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and / or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of designated areas, including interior spaces and the perimeter, while monitoring for unusual activity that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Control access by verifying identification, authorizations, and vehicle credentials as required, documenting entries, and directing individuals to the appropriate points of contact.
  • Complete timely security-related reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident documentation, and shift handoffs, using written and / or electronic systems as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and / or armed guard license.
  • Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
