Food Runner

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to support our service team by delivering food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to our guests. The ideal candidate is organized, energetic, and committed to providing an outstanding dining experience. This role is essential to maintaining smooth operations between the kitchen and front-of-house staff while ensuring guests receive fresh, properly presented meals.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables in a timely and professional manner

Ensure food is accurately matched to tickets and delivered to the correct tables

Assist servers by maintaining tables during service (running food, clearing plates, polishing silverware)

Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff regarding special requests, allergies, and timing

Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations

Restock supplies as needed (plates, silverware, napkins, condiments, to-go boxes & bags)

Assist with pre-service setup and post-service breakdown

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Provide friendly, attentive service to guests when interacting at tables

Qualifications

Prior restaurant experience preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy

Professional appearance and positive attitude

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry food trays or dishes up to 30 pounds

Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of food handling and safety standards

Familiarity with POS systems is a plus

Strong attention to detail and time management

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
