Position Description
Under the direction of the Director, Transfer and Career Center(s), the Job Developer is responsible for developing, managing, and sustaining employer partnerships that result in employment, internships, and work-based learning opportunities for Chaffey College students. The position serves as a primary liaison between the College and local employers, public agencies, and community organizations to support student career readiness and placement outcomes.
This position is based at the Rancho Cucamonga campus and works with students, faculty, staff, and employers across all district locations

Working Hours : Part-time; hours will vary. Some evenings and weekends will be required based on departmental needs
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Being able and ready to work in-person with Chaffey students, Chaffey employees, or other members of the Chaffey community / Chaffey partners / Chaffey contractors is an essential function of this job.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and lead targeted employer outreach by researching local businesses, public agencies, and community organizations; initiating contact; and building sustained relationships with employers interested in hiring Chaffey College students.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers and agencies to identify, secure, and expand work-based learning opportunities such as internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, and employment opportunities aligned with students' academic programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for employers, providing responsive and professional customer service to support recruitment, hiring, and student placement efforts.
- Collaborate with Transfer and Career Center staff, faculty, and administrators to align employer partnerships with academic programs, workforce needs, and student career goals.
- Assist in assessing regional workforce trends and employer needs and communicate relevant labor market and partnership information to the Director and other appropriate stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support job fairs, employer panels, recruiting events, and related activities.
- Track and document employer engagement, student participation, and employment outcomes.
- Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students, staff, faculty, employers, and visitors.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment.Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of students in a community college environment.Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in workforce development, career services, job development, employer relations, or a closely related field.Demonstrated success in employer outreach, partnership development, or business engagement with measurable outcomes.Experience building and maintaining relationships with employers, government agencies, and / or community organizations.Ability to effectively network, influence decision-makers, and manage multiple external relationships simultaneously.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and organizational levels.Ability to analyze labor market data and / or employer feedback and apply findings to outreach strategies.Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to anticipate challenges and proactively resolve issues.MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF ANINTERVIEW.
