Adult Hematologist

Innovative Hematology, Inc. (IHI) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Hematologist with expertise in Classical (Non-Malignant) Hematology to join our nationally recognized comprehensive care team. IHI is home to Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC), a 501(c)(3) organization and one of the largest federally recognized hemophilia treatment centers in the United States. In addition, IHI serves as a major regional referral center for a wide range of classical hematology conditions, including:

• Bleeding and clotting disorders (hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, rare factor deficiencies, thrombophilia)
• Thrombosis and vascular medicine
• Red cell disorders and complex anemias (iron deficiency, hemolytic anemias, inherited disorders)
• Sickle cell disease and hemoglobinopathies (comprehensive lifespan program)
• Platelet disorders and bone marrow failure syndromes
• Women’s health and hematology (including heavy menstrual bleeding and reproductive hematology)
• Cardiovascular risk and hematology interface programs
• Emerging therapeutics programs, including gene therapy and novel agents

Our programs are supported by a highly integrated, multidisciplinary team that includes hematologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, behavioral health specialists, and genetic counselors. IHI is also recognized as a Center of Excellence for HHT, and for clinical care, research, education, and innovation in rare hematologic diseases.

Position Overview

The Adult Hematologist – Classical Hematology will:

• Provide comprehensive care across the spectrum of benign hematologic disorders, including hemostasis, thrombosis, anemia, and complex multisystem conditions
• Participate in and help expand specialized programs within classical hematology, including bleeding disorders, thrombosis, red cell disorders, and women’s health
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of >20 physicians and >20 advanced practice providers
• Contribute to clinical program development, quality improvement initiatives, and care model innovation
• Participate in shared call responsibilities, including nights and weekends
• Engage in inpatient consultation services through established hospital partnerships

Requirements

Qualified candidates should:

• Be board certified or eligible in Hematology (Adult Hematology/Oncology training)
• Be eligible for unrestricted Indiana medical licensure and DEA/CSR
• Demonstrate strong clinical expertise in classical hematology
• Have an interest in multidisciplinary care and program development
