TAX MANAGER



POSITION OVERVIEW:



We are looking for a Tax Manager that specializes in various aspects of partnership, S Corp and ultra-high net worth individual tax including entertainment, real estate and venture capital owned companies. In this position, you will work directly with clients, key decision makers and business owners across various industries and geographies. Our boutique firm is comprised of former “Big 4” management and complex, interesting clients similar to larger firms. However, we are different then our larger competitors in that our smaller structure allows us to create an opportunity for our employees to be heard and have their ideas incorporated into the firm’s future. DUTIES & SKILLS:

• At least 7 years of public accounting experience in a tax department (ideally in a large local or national CPA firm (large business management firm also ok))
• Strong Technical experience required in Partnership, S Corp and Complex Individual Tax
• Multi-State experience needed
• Must be able to prepare (25-30%) and review (70-75%) of assigned tax compliance work
• Good understanding of accounting - able to make corrections to client’s financial reports as part of tax return preparation
• Manage IRS/FTB audits and correspondence
• Multi-task in a fast-paced professional work environment
• Detail oriented and have strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Team-player, ability to teach others and good interpersonal skills
• Tech-savvy and able to resolve basic IT issues while working in a paperless environment
• Prior experience working with CCH ProSystem FX Tax Software is preferred
• CPA license required & Masters of Taxation is beneficial for this position
