Program Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY The Program Specialist manages and optimizes customer Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs by leveraging forecasted usage and historical trends to maintain optimal stock levels. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, generating and analyzing reports, and reviewing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improve program efficiency. Responsibilities also include maintaining bin management systems, providing inventory solutions, and supporting just-in-time inventory strategies. Additionally, the Program Specialist creates ad-hoc reports as needed to support the business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilize customer forecasted usage or historical data trends to derive optimal stock levels across customer vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs
Effectively communicate VMI program updates to internal and external program stakeholders such as sales, customer service, IMR's, forecasting specialists, and customers
Generating reports from single or multiple systems for needs analysis and program development
Monthly review of KPI's and other internal reports to identify market or customer specific trends that can be used in analysis
Update and maintain internal bin management system of all changes (add, change, & deletes)
Providing technical expertise on inventory levels and just in time inventory solutions
Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports
Create adhoc reports as needed related to CPS programs
Support all other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain, Business Management, other related field
3 + years of industry work experience
High standard of professionalism and ethics
Preferred style of teamwork and collaboration
Ability to work with stakeholders and assess potential risks
Ability to analyze existing tools and databases to provide software solution recommendations
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with written communications across multiple levels within the organization
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
Fastener experience preferred
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Program experience preferred
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, blueprint, diagram, or schedule form
Must occasionally lift, carry or move up to 50 lbs.
Current and valid driver's license.
Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
