Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Abilene, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, embodying our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate : $12.00 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, tenants, and / or employees while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders if incidents arise within the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
