Maintenance Technician I - DC

GENERAL PURPOSE :

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs (electrical, mechanical and fabrication).

The base pay range for this role is $25.96 - $35.70. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts.
• Perform maintenance projects as assigned on : conveyor systems; to include installation, removal, and process improvement changes.
• Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs to facility equipment.
• Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.
• Maintain accurate record keeping such as : work orders, time sheets, and parts request.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRE D :

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ADA :

Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, on a concrete floor all day.

Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.

Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs

Vision requirements : Ability to see information in print and / or electronically

This role requires full-time in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and / or feedback.
