Senior Auditor

One of our public accounting clients located in Owings Mills, MD is looking for a Senior Auditor to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and oversee the auditing process
2. Allocate responsibilities to junior and staff auditors
3. Review team members' work for accuracy and compliance
4. Perform effective risk and control assessments
5. Complete audits on time and submit reports to auditing manager
6. Present audit findings and find ways to increase compliance and efficiency
7. Teaching and mentoring junior team members
8. Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings
9. Prepares financial statements
10. Appraises adequacy of internal control systems
11. Maintains professional and technical knowledge
12. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years' of hands-on experience in a small to mid-size, regional Public Accounting Firm.
• CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting, auditing and internal controls requirements and practices
• Strong analytical skills
