Location : San Diego, CA (Onsite) | Type : Full Time| Pay : $17.25 / hr + commission

We are looking for an experienced Body Shop Estimator to assess and estimate the costs of repairing automotive damage, primarily focusing on the body and paintwork. This role involves inspecting vehicles, preparing detailed repair estimates, and collaborating with insurance companies to facilitate the claims process.

What You’ll Do :

• Inspect, analyze, and evaluate damaged vehicles to create a comprehensive and accurate repair estimate
• Continually monitor work progress to ensure timely completion
• Notify client of completed repair, explaining repair(s), answering client questions, completing final customer documents after delivery of vehicle (DRP, final invoice)
• Handle communications with insurance adjusters and customers throughout the vehicle repair process and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Informs customers about the repair process, including insurance claims processing, payment procedures, repair techniques, repair needs and expected delivery date of repair
• Write supplements and negotiate with insurer
• Responsible for keeping all assigned Repair Order (RO) current and accurate throughout the repair process
• Communicating with technicians, painters, other departments within the dealership, insurance company representatives, parts wholesalers, and customers.
