Responsibilities Work in a hospital radiology department specializing in CT imaging Performs all types of diagnostic and interventional CT studies for patients across the age continuum Uses CT scanners, PACS, HIS, RIS, teleradiography systems, and department scheduling software Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts, alternating weekly between Sunday-Thursday and Monday-Thursday plus Saturday, 11 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Patient care responsibilities include venipuncture, use of sterile technique, and coordination of exams among departments 50-mile radius restriction applies for eligibility Responsibilities include performing and evaluating all types of CT procedures, practicing radiation safety, and utilizing department computer systems for patient care documentation Expected to assist with departmental orientation and student clinical education when directed Must maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and hospital procedures Participation in the department's quality improvement plan is required Scrub attire or dress code follows hospital standards Local candidates not accepted for this travel assignment Requirements Graduate from a school of radiologic technology Current ARRT certification or eligibility for certification required Certification in CT required within 24 months of hire Valid state medical radiographer license required if applicable Current BLS certification required Knowledge of CT positioning, technical factors, and radiation safety practices Experience with both invasive and non-invasive CT procedures Ability to operate and evaluate CT equipment, PACS, and related systems Strong communication and prioritization skills Physical ability to perform safe patient handling and maintain proper body mechanics Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-642788.
