Position Summary:

The Tax Associate is a member of our fast-growing and very highly regarded Venture Capital (“VC”) tax practice team. The Venture Capital tax practice is national in scope, serving primarily early stage venture fund and related entity clients in San Francisco/Silicon Valley but also in Southern California as well as in New York, Boston, Chicago and elsewhere in the The location of our San Mateo office is quite favorable, as 40-50% of all US venture capital activity is engaged in by venture firms located within 25 miles to the north or south of San Mateo. Connecting directly with our many clients in Southern California is enhanced by the close location (5 miles from the San Mateo office) of the San Francisco International Airport, with a flying time to LA and Orange Country of only an hour. There is substantial exposure to tax reporting requirements applicable to the existence of non-US investments, investors and entities in investment partnerships. And there is also an anticipated rapid learning curve attributable to the opportunity to work with Sensiba’s extremely talented VC tax specialists in providing tax compliance and consulting services to our venture clients.

Responsibilities:

• Tax return preparation
• Tax research
• Other related duties primarily for venture capital-related partnerships (and LLCs), and also with C and S corporations.
