Description :

This position specializes in rehabilitation nursing.

The nurse will care for patients who are recovering from various conditions.

Patient ratios in this unit are 1 nurse to 6 patients.

The facility serves adults and geriatrics from ages 18 to 99.

Common patient diagnoses include stroke, brain injury, amputations, and spinal cord injuries.

The unit provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy and social services.

Equipment used includes assistive devices and transfer devices.

Experience in acute inpatient rehabilitation is required.

Nurses will be responsible for patient assessments and care management.

On-call duties are not required.

Weekend shifts are part of the schedule.

Nurses will not float to other units or facilities.

A strict no-tobacco policy is enforced, including nicotine drug screening.

This role holds significant responsibilities in promoting patient safety and recovery.

Collaboration with various support services enhances patient outcomes.
