Swappa is a growing marketplace for buying and selling mobile devices

Swappa is hiring a Remote Web Developer to join our small development team. The right candidate will be an effective developer with good communication skills and experience with Python, Django, jQuery, and Bootstrap. This position will begin as part-time and hopefully transition to full-time if a good fit.

Our ideal developer will meet the following expectations : Work independently, but never afraid to ask for help and / or opinions

Develop new site features, end-to-end : from front-end HTML to Django code to database models and migrations

Communicate ideas and design decisions to the team

Comfortable with quick development lifecycles

Willingness to work on new projects as well as maintenance of existing features

Values simplicity and good user experience

Technology / skill requirements : Source control (required), Subversion (preferred)

Amazon Web Services (preferred)

Other requirements : Develop public-facing websites (and can provide examples)

Comfortable with database migrations (preferably using South)

18 years or older
