Project Engineer

Contribute your expertise skills and experience as an Project Engineer by joining our KDM Engineering team. KDM is a growing award-winning minority- and woman-owned professional engineering firm focusing on electric gas site civil and telecommunications engineering designs and support services.

KDM is looking for a Project Engineer with 5 7 years of experience (ComEd preferred) of Overhead or Underground utilities distribution. This position includes performing engineering tasks on multiple small to medium sized projects with a moderate level of technical difficulty; coordinating and completing complex distribution designs independently managing a team of engineers and giving a complete QA / QC check on other designers projects.

Salary Range : $95000.00 - $130000.00 per year

Responsibilities include :

• Applying sound engineering knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of project assignments
• Developing contacts with key engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm that engineering practices applied are consistent with current engineering standards regulatory requirements and current technological innovations
• Developing and maintaining quality relationships with clients
• Leads projects and project team in the execution of several mid-to-large scale projects
• Communicates and coordinates project activities with internal team members
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) design reviews and Peer Reviews for all project documents
• Performs peer reviews and mentors project team members
• Assists in the preparation of scoping documents and fees
• Prepares and reviews project drawings in TED
• Resolves design questions and technical concerns
• Provides excellent client / customer service
• Will be managing a team of 3 4 engineers
• PE license preferred
