Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and data requirements.
  • Analyze and profile large datasets using SQL to support business intelligence and data engineering needs.
  • Develop and maintain source-to-target data mapping documents.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers to validate data transformations and pipeline outputs.
  • Partner with Power BI Developers to ensure data models are aligned with business use cases.
  • Document business rules, data logic, and lineage to support data governance and quality initiatives.
  • Perform gap analysis between current and desired data flows.
  • Assist in UAT test case definition and execution in collaboration with QA analysts.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst with a focus on data .
  • Strong SQL / KQL skills , including complex queries against large datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience in data mapping, data profiling, and source-to-target documentation .
  • Experience working with modern data platforms ; familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Lake, and / or Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid Agile / Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Project / Program management skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Project / Program management skills.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
  • Experience with Excel, Visio, and other documentation tools
