American Welding & Gas, Inc. has an exciting new opportunity for an Automation Sales Support Engineer based in our Indianapolis, IN location.
The Automation Sales Support Engineer is responsible for assisting the sales team in identifying customer needs, developing automation solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves technical and administrative support, proposal development, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve sales targets and deliver high-quality automation solutions. Additionally, the Specialist will provide support during the installation phase and ongoing technical support to customers.
Following comprehensive training, the Automation Sales Support Engineer will undertake the following responsibilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field.8+ years of experience in a sales support or technical support role, preferably in the automation industry. Strong technical background with knowledge of automation products and solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
