Position Summary

The Accounting Manager oversees day-to-day and month-end financial operations, ensures accurate and timely reporting, manages cash, AR, AP, and payroll accounting, and leads the accounting team. This role maintains tight financial controls, supports operational departments, and provides clear visibility into financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a timely, accurate month-end close and issue reliable financial statements.
• Complete all reconciliations, including bank, credit card, inventory, and intercompany.
• Maintain clean financial data and complete required tax filings.
• Produce daily cash snapshots and weekly cash-flow and priority reports for leadership.
• Maintain real-time cash visibility and an active AP funding forecast.
• Manage weekly payables to ensure accurate, on-time payment runs while avoiding late fees and capturing discounts.
• Ensure accurate billing, strong collections, and cross-department accountability for AR performance.
• Identify and resolve customer or process issues impacting receivables.
• Maintain complete vendor records and ensure compliant W-9 / 1099 documentation.
• Oversee weekly AP processing and enforce proper approval workflows.
• Review payroll journal entries, conduct payroll audits, and ensure correct labor allocation across jobs and classes.
• Uphold internal controls, maintain documentation, and ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, support, and hold accountable the AR, AP, and Payroll managers by clarifying expectations and removing barriers.
• Continuously improve financial processes and surface risks or concerns to leadership.
• Maintain accurate data and system integrity across QBO, JobNimbus, and related platforms.
