We are seeking a talented Materials Manager to work in a fast-paced multi-site manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role within supply chain. This position requires an innovative individual with the willingness to take calculated risks, excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of associates and in cross functional teams. This is a high visibility opportunity with advancement opportunities through operations or supply chain management throughout Fortive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
5 years of inventory experience in a manufacturing environment
2 years experience managing a operational buying/planning team
Lean training and experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS / TOOLS:
Strong Leadership skills. Able to build teams and build consensus with Staff, peers and direct reports.
Lean manufacturing experience/ Value Stream mapping and kanban planning
Proven inventory management success.
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans
Excellent cross-functional interpersonal, facilitation, communication and leadership skills
Self-starter and highly motivated
Project management skills
Results driven and possess excellent organization, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, performing queries in ERP systems (Business Objects), along with data gathering, manipulation, and analysis expertise.
