Job Details

  • We care for adult Hospice patients requiring an acute care setting for symptom management.
  • Roughly 50% of our patients pass away while on the Unit and the other 50% are discharged to home after their symptoms have been successfully managed.
  • Our Unit also cares for Hospice patients needing Respite level of care.
  • On any given day, there will be a mix of Acute and Respite level of care patients.
  • Position / Specialty : RN- Hospice
  • Ratios : 1 : 6
  • Years of experience REQ : 1 yr
  • First-timers accepted : Yes
  • Weekend REQ : Every other weekend
  • Charting : Epic, previous EPIC experience required.

    • Job Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in the specialty or one of comparable or higher acuity is required.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support is required.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required for specific RN / Unit positions; AHA or ARC only.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support is required for specific RN / Unit positions; AHA or ARC only.

    • Schedule Information

  • Weekend REQ : Every other weekend
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? NO
  • RTO Restrictions : 7 days max

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Ratios : 1 : 6
  • Our Unit also cares for Hospice patients needing Respite level of care.
