Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with a NM or compact license, Level I trauma, and telemetry experience for a hospital-based position.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the PACU of a Level I trauma, teaching, and children's hospital
  • Care for pre / post Cath Lab and IR procedure patients
  • Patient ratios are 1 : 2 for PACU and 1 : 3-5 when floating to holding area
  • Uses Cerner charting system
  • Day shifts (4x12 hours, 7 : 00-19 : 30) with one weekend shift per month
  • On-call required : 1-2 overnight call shifts per 4-week schedule
  • Floating required within the PACU department holding area
  • First-time travelers may be considered upon screening
  • RTO greater than 7 days must be approved
  • Black scrubs required for this position
  • Parking is provided at no cost
  • Block scheduling is not accommodated

    • Requirements

  • Active NM or compact RN license (pending license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level I trauma and telemetry settings
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Experience with pre / post Cath Lab and IR procedures required
  • No local candidates within 75 miles considered
  • COVID vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
