We seek an experienced, motivated Senior Structures Detailer to join our growing team building business in the Northeast of the United States. The ideal candidate will work from one of our offices in this area of the country, with options including Calverton, MD , Philadelphia, PA , and New York, NY. This role reports to the office Technical Manager. As a detailer you will work closely with the engineers to bring our designs from conception to reality. How will you contribute to the team?

• Provide design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings in support of bridge and transportation structure project(s).
• Provide conceptual and final design of bridges and other transportation structures, roadway alignments, and miscellaneous structures as required by the project scope.
• Reads and interprets survey data, government standards and codes, and applies to design.
• Develops and lays out conceptual designs for proposals to be reviewed by senior technical professional or project manager for conformance with specifications and client requirements.
• Develops and lays out final plan designs on assigned project or portions of projects.
• Develops sections of projects or details for construction projects.
• May prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and permit applications.
• Maintains good knowledge of governmental regulations, codes and ordinances and applies them to plans, as needed.
• Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

• 10+ years’ experience as a detailer (progressive drafting and design experience).
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD required.
• Experience utilizing CAD: MicroStation, 3D Open Bridge, Civil 3D, BIM and/or Revit is a plus.
• Solid oral and written communications skills.

Expected compensation range is between $75,000 - $105,000+ annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
