It is affiliated with several universities and medical schools and provides a scholarly educational environment with an emphasis on clinical proficiency. There are currently over 250 residents and fellows across various areas of specialty. Illinois Masonic is a nationally recognized health care institution and a Level I Trauma Center and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
