Hiring Range: LCSW - A / LCMHCA $25.44 - $31.50 per hour commensurate with experience
LCSW / LCMHC $33.45 - $ 37.00 per hour commensurate with experience
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week (flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time with on call responsibility)

Prior local and state government years of service count toward calculating vacation accrual rate! CHA is seeking a licensed clinical professional to provide mental health assessment and treatment to individuals with justice involvement. The clinician will serve clients within Cabarrus County Detention Center as well as upon release.
Primary Responsibilities: - Complete assessment with particular attention to suicidality, self-harm and serious mental illness
- Provide clinical recommendations, develop treatment plans and intervene according to professional standards
- Provide client education, referral, and follow-up as determined by client need
- Collaborate and cooperate with Cabarrus County Detention and medical staff
- Maintain records and files during client's incarceration
- Maintain reports and data as required
- Serve as on-call clinician 2 or more days per month as assigned
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in social work or mental health counseling. Experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders, mental illness or involvement with the criminal justice system (including recent release) is preferred.
License: LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, LCMHCA
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Extensive knowledge of social, economic and emotional needs, and DSM 5 mental health diagnoses
- Ability to deal tactfully with others and exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions
- Must be able to solve problems within a scope of responsibility
- Ability to secure the cooperation of clients, to elicit needed information and to maintain effective working relationships
- Accurately record services rendered, submit accurate billing, and interpret and explain records
