Security Specialist II

As a Security Specialist II, you will support SNC's risk-focused security program in the protection of company and customer information, people, and assets. You will facilitate business and mission success through security customer service and efficient administrative security processes. You will handle classified and sensitive material, assist in the development and implementation of security compliance requirements, support security awareness education and training, and participate in security compliance assessments. As a Security Specialist II, you will support all facets of SNC's Security Program to include personnel security, document control, DD254 review and preparation, visitor access and control, physical security, and supporting security investigations. You will also have the opportunity to expand your security knowledge across a wide range of security disciplines and participate in internal security working groups and special project initiatives.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in security, military, or administrative fields
• Strong verbal and electronic communication skills
• Self-motivated and willing to learn
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Familiarity with security regulations and best practices
• Knowledge of 32 CFR 117: National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)
• Experience with access control/visit control/badge management systems and software
• Military or Defense Contractor experience

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
