We're Hiring : Program Assistant at U.S.VETS

Location : Washington, D.C. Full-Time $21.00 - $27.00 per hour

Join our mission to end and prevent veteran homelessness. At U.S.VETS, we empower veterans and their families through housing, comprehensive services, and advocacy. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about making a difference, this role is for you!

What You'll Do

As a Program Assistant , you'll be the backbone of our site operations-helping programs run smoothly and ensuring veterans receive the support they deserve. Your day-to-day will include :

  • Managing client and program data to keep us compliant and efficient.
  • Supporting case managers with audits and file maintenance.
  • Handling rent tracking, petty cash, and supply inventory.
  • Assisting with accounting, grant reporting, and event coordination.
  • Helping with HR tasks like onboarding and training.
  • Collaborating on volunteer activities and community events.

What We're Looking For

  • 1 year of experience in social services or related field (or 3 months at U.S.VETS).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset.
