Product Design Engineer

Title: Product Design Engineer
Location: Chicago (Ravenswood area)
Hire Type: Long term contract assignment
Compensation: $38-48/hrly

Must have Skill Set: Strong Solidworks experience

Overview:

Job Duties:

• Modify existing mechanical designs using SolidWorks
• Update engineering drawings, revisions, and documentation
• Apply Design Control principles throughout product development
• Work on products with mechanical mechanisms and moving parts (springs, collapsible features, etc.)
• Support design changes based on testing and validation feedback

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of mechanical design experience

• Strong SolidWorks skills
• Experience with plastic parts and mechanical assemblies
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings and revision control
• Knowledge of Design Controls
• Medical device experience and ISO 13485 knowledge preferred
• Experience in other regulated industries (aerospace, defense, etc.) considered
