Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Airfield Design) to join our Transportation team in Portland OR, Bellevue WA, or Anchorage AK in Summer 2026, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our airport clients challenges locally and worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and apply your academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering challenges. You will assist our team in various aspects of airfield design and learn about industry-standard procedures and software.

Project opportunities may include supporting the design of taxiways, runways, aprons, perimeter roads, lighting systems, drainage systems and supporting navigation aid adjustments by FAA. You'll work alongside experienced Engineers and Project Managers, gaining valuable insights into airfield engineering.

Your Responsibilities May Include :

• Assist in field data collection in support of airfield improvement projects
• Assist in basic airfield geometric design and layout
• Assist with pavement evaluation, rehabilitation design and new construction thickness determination
• Support the development of construction plans and technical specifications for airfield expansion or rehabilitation
• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Participate in observation and record keeping during construction work

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
