Join the compassionate team at Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital , a full-service animal hospital dedicated to high-quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics. We're currently hiring a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinary Assistant who is passionate about animal care and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Whether you're assisting with exams, preparing for surgery, or supporting clients, you'll play a vital role in ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.

What you'll be doing :

  • Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
  • Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
  • Administering medications as directed
  • Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)
  • Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
  • Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
  • Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
  • Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care
  • Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and DVMs to provide top-tier care
