CONTENT CREATOR – TEMPORARY POSITION

DEPARTMENT : MARKETING

Temporary content creator position available with Carlsbad, CA-based board game company.

Status : Temporary (Up to 3 months); Temp to hire opportunity available

Location : On-site required at Carlsbad, CA office; occasional off-site shoots

Pay rate : $25 - $32 per hour, depending on experience

Reports to : Digital Content Specialist

Summary

The Content Creator will create entertaining and engaging social media video content featuring our games and brand. They will collaborate closely with our Digital Content Specialist to brainstorm ideas and align on execution but will be responsible for coordinating and filming videos independently. The Content Creator will be an on-camera personality able to film a wide variety of videos that enhance our established content direction. The ideal candidate has a knack for humor, can strike up a conversation with anyone they meet, and loves bringing playful stories to life.

Primary Responsibilities

Serve as on-camera personality for content pieces

Collaborate with Digital Content Specialist to brainstorm innovative content ideas based on current trends and past successes

Coordinate filming content in studio or on location

Collaborate with Digital Content Specialist on storyboards, shot lists, and scripts

Keep a pulse on pop culture trends, memes, and audio clips to inspire concepts

Support larger marketing initiatives with original content and creative input

Assist Digital Content Specialist with editing

Manage basic studio gear

Qualifications

2–4+ years of experience in content creation or social media

Social media platform fluency (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts)

Confident, charismatic presence on camera; improvisation or comedic skills a plus

Ability to quickly iterate and execute ideas

Comfortable with many styles of videos, both solo and in a group setting

An understanding of best practices for filming social media videos

Basic editing skills (Premiere Pro experience is a plus)

Ability to juggle multiple projects and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting

Passion for board games, pop culture, and storytelling
