Bettenhausen Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram Lockport is a proud family-owned dealership looking for an experienced Automotive Warranty Administrator to join our close-knit team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Automotive Warranty Administrator is responsible for the accurate timely and compliant processing of all warranty-related documentation and payments. Key areas of responsibility include :
- Preparing recording and submitting warranty claims to the manufacturer and / or distributor and reconciling them as required.
- Processing warranty claims promptly for each franchise or distributor.
- Reviewing all warranty paperwork to ensure complete and proper documentation.
- Verifying all criteria required by the factory distributor or warrantor.
- Reconciling warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedules.
- Posting warranty credits into the DMS / computer system.
- Resubmitting rejected claims in a timely manner or obtaining authorization for write-offs.
- Following up on outstanding warranty payments to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Filing and maintaining service records as required by warranty guidelines and regulations.
- Staying current on all manufacturer recalls service campaigns and warranty bulletins.
- Assisting with body shop warranty claims as needed.
- Providing clerical and administrative support to the Fixed Operations Manager Controller or Service Department as assigned.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and an organized clean work area.
- Performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
