About The Forest at Duke

For over 30 years, The Forest at Duke's team has provided a caring, responsible community that fosters the independence of residents of retirement age by enhancing their capability to lead purposeful, active, healthy and secure lives.

As a Security Officer and a Forest Team Member, you'll support this mission by providing necessary security measures for a safe environment for those who both live and work at The Forest at Duke.

Openings :

  • Evening Shift (2 - 7 days / week)
  • Night Shift (2 - 7 days / week)

What we're looking for in our next Team Member...

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid NC Driver's license (must be able to drive community vehicles).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or the ability to obtain within 30 days post hire).
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and thorough reports, including daily activity and incident logs.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand / sit / walk for extended periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work exterior posts in inclement weather.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls from residents, vendors, team members and follow department procedures to properly handle the situation.
  • Basic typing skills & computer knowledge.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English.
  • Must be able to maintain positive and professional relationships and interactions with residents, guests, vendors, contractors and staff.
