Working knowledge of medical terminology, lab procedures, and biospecimen handling. Strong organization, accuracy, and multitasking; compassionate, professional bedside manner. Phlebotomy certification (CPT : ASCP / AMT / NHA / NCCT). Prior experience in phlebotomy and / or clinical research setting. What you'll do
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood / tissue / other specimens per study and clinical protocols.
- Accurately identify patients / participants; label, process, aliquot, and prepare specimens for testing, shipment, or storage (per SOPs).
- Maintain chain of custody and specimen integrity; complete source docs and logs.
- Stock, clean, and maintain phlebotomy areas, supplies, and equipment.
- Follow all safety, privacy, and compliance standards ( HIPAA ) and research GCP / IRB requirements.
- Communicate clearly with coordinators, investigators, and participants; support basic study coordination tasks as needed.
