About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Cardiothoracic Surgery NP in Arkansas!

We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day locum tenens assignment in Arkansas. This opportunity begins on Dec 31, 2025, and features 24-hour call shifts with OR time from 7 AM to 12 PM. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of first assist experience, with strong proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting in CABG, valve, and great vessel surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide first assist in cardiothoracic surgical cases, including CABG, valve, and great vessel procedures

Perform endoscopic vein harvesting

Participate in 24-hour call coverage and provide perioperative support

Work in the OR from 7 AM to 12 PM as scheduled

Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care

Additional Information

Minimum 3 years of first assist experience required

Experience in a Trauma center is highly preferred

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certifications required

Arkansas licensure required
