The Procurement Analyst is responsible for using their analytical skills and relevant data to evaluate supplier performance, identify areas for improvement and potential risks, and using the information to assist with final purchasing decisions. This role reports to the Senior Director of Procurement.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Prepare RFQ’s (Requests for Quotes) and assist with supplier sourcing to secure favorable terms and conditions; coordinate responses from / to suppliers placing bids.
- Evaluate supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks.
- Maintain supplier relationships, including order execution, delivery coordination, performance monitoring, and resolution of supply or quality issues.
- Assess and approve direct-to-site purchasing decisions based on cost, lead time, warehouse capacity, and inventory exposure.
- Partner with warehouse teams to resolve receiving discrepancies, PO issues, and inventory variances.
- Serve as a Buyer-Planner on the Firming Team, translating forecasts and project demand into executable purchase orders.
- Manage warehouse replenishment and project-specific purchasing to support construction and deployment schedules.
- Partner with warehouse and inventory teams to define assigned warehouse safety stock levels, balancing service levels with inventory and cost targets
- Utilize data analytics tools to analyze procurement and inventory data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Prepare reports on procurement (open PO’s, commitments) and inventory performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement and inventory management functions.
- Assist in implementing best practices to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure competitive quotes are obtained for equipment orders.
- Special projects, ad hoc reporting as assigned by leadership.
Minimum Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience in procurement and inventory management roles (minimum 3 years).Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics and Site Tracker a plus).Computer literacy with an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.Knowledge of industry best practices in procurement and inventory management.Experience with demand planning and forecasting tools a plus.Knowledge of technology procurement trends and contract negotiation best practices.Occasional travel required, approximately four times per year, to Fort Lauderdale, FL.BENEFITS :
