New Beginnings Of Charleston Inc in North Charleston, SC is looking for one human service assistant (direct care staff) to join our 11 person strong team. We are located on 112 Osburn Ave. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

Teaching social living skills, self-care skills, and home maintenance skills.  This includes teaching   out how to get along with others, how to take care of their clothes, personal hygiene, housekeeping, etc.

Supervision in the home at all times

Providing adequate adult role models

Installing and maintaining an effective Behavior Management System

Counseling and teaching residents on how to deal with personal problems

Monitor and document a detailed description of any and all contact with parents and / or guardians.

Maintaining the physical structure of the home.  This will involve supervising the cleaning of the home as          well as noti­fying the HSP when repairs are neces­sary.

Working with local community agencies that provide services such as school and social service   agencies.

Engaging in public relations that serve to benefit the NBC program.  The purpose of the public relations               shall be to inform the local community of the services provided by NBC.

Evaluation of behavior through systematic collection of reli­able behavioral data.

Maintaining medical records and documentation in accordance with NBC Policy & Procedures.

Must attend weekly in-house staff meetings.
