Purchasing Specialist

Location : Onsite, In Person - Cranston, RI (serving a 6-site U.S. network)

Are you a strategic buyer ready to make a big impact? Alloy Fasteners is seeking a Domestic Purchasing Specialist to unify and optimize purchasing across our U.S. branches. What You'll Do :

  • Lead consolidated buying for all branches-build RFQs, compare bids, and place POs to maximize savings.
  • Maintain national pricing, tiered breaks, and standardized order quantities.
  • Use ERP tools to manage inventory, analyze data, and ensure every site has what it needs.
  • Coordinate interbranch transfers to balance stock and working capital.
  • Expedite orders, track shipments, and work with suppliers to meet deadlines and specs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IFI / ASTM / ASME, RoHS / REACH, DFARS / Buy American).
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Production, QA, and our Import Purchasing Manager.

What You Bring :

  • 3+ years' experience in purchasing / buying, especially with U.S. suppliers and multi-warehouse operations.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience with blanket orders, VMI, or consignment.
  • Strong ERP and Excel skills (lookups, pivots); BI experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of fasteners, metals, or hardware preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and compliance certifications is a bonus.
