Job Summary

We are actively seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team within the Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line. This is a vital role supporting the U.S. Special Operations Command, contributing to the Preservation of the Forces and Family (POTFF) program. The mission of POTFF is to optimize the readiness and performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) and their families through comprehensive human performance initiatives. As an LCSW, you will play an integral role in impactful research efforts that inform evidence-based practices and enhance the support for SOF personnel and their families.

In this position, you will provide high-quality behavioral health care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for psychological and neuropsychological disorders through various therapeutic methods. Responsibilities also include collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining patient records, and possibly supervising trainees while engaging in military-specific training as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Behavioral Health Care Provider within operational units
• Participate in professional meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in social work
• Utilize social work techniques for assessment and treatment of mental health disorders
• Consult with multidisciplinary teams, commanders, and legal authorities
• Maintain accurate medical records and produce evaluation reports
• Engage in military training and activities as directed
• Provide clinical supervision for trainees or unlicensed providers
• Assess treatment adherence and barriers to patient care
• Educate patients regarding mental health and treatment
• Perform case management functions

Key Qualifications

• Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Two years of independent clinical social work practice within the last five years
• Active, unrestricted clinical license in the U.S.
• Knowledge of professional standards and ethics in social work
• Experience in brief behavioral interventions
• Ability to maintain credentialing requirements at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF)
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Eligibility to obtain government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in government settings, such as DOD or VA
