A company is looking for an Associate, Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead underwriting and credit analysis for assigned funds, focusing on affordable housing transactions
Prepare credit memoranda and present financial analysis at Intake and Credit Committees
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with borrowers throughout the transaction lifecycle
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in underwriting real estate loans in relevant environments
Experience with bespoke real estate transactions and layered capital stacks
Working knowledge of affordable housing finance and commercial real estate financing
Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel; familiarity with federal and state housing finance programs preferred
