How you’ll make an impact in this role

Ascension Providence is looking to add a Family Medicine Physician to our busy practice in Waco, Texas.
Waco has been recognized as the “Heart of Texas," and is situated on the I-35 corridor between Dallas and Austin with scores of shops and restaurants galore along with excellent parks, a supportive business environment, a low crime rate, diverse housing options, and top-ranked schools. Past FM providers have enjoyed full patient panels.

Position Details:

• See approximately 16-22 patients per day
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, (4-4.5 day work week is possible)
• Call Schedule: 1:14 phone call only
• Practice Detail: Join our team of 3 providers: 2 physicians & 1 NP

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
• Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
• Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements. Appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
