We’re seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Syracuse, NY Service Department. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in electronics, mechanical repair, or related service fields who wants to grow into a leadership role in welder repair.

What You’ll Do

As a Haun Electrical Technician, you’ll maintain and repair high-quality industrial equipment while delivering exceptional service to our customers. You’ll :

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain welding equipment, plasma cutting systems, hydraulic bandsaws, ironworkers, CNC cutting tables, and other specialty equipment

Read wiring schematics and use hand tools, digital multimeters, and diagnostic equipment to identify and fix electrical issues

Use mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair industrial and commercial machinery

Identify, source, and install the correct parts to complete repairs efficiently

Take initiative to work independently while collaborating with the service team to meet department goals

Travel to customer locations when necessary to perform on-site repairs and service

Follow all safety protocols and company standards while delivering high-quality service

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a hands-on, problem-solving technician with mechanical or electrical experience who is eager to grow with a company that invests in its people. Ideal candidates will have :

Experience in electronics, computer repair, PC boards, HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, auto mechanics, small equipment, or other repair / service fields

Understanding of electrical components, input voltage, and power

Ability to read wiring schematics and use hand tools safely

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Valid NY State Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

High school diploma or equivalent (secondary degree is a plus)

Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and maneuver tools, equipment, and parts, up to 50 pounds or more with proper equipment and safety procedures

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods while performing repairs

Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access customer equipment safely

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and industrial environments

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively

Ability to travel to customer locations as required
