Position Description

Position Overview :

This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced Project Manager professionals on mechanical construction projects in a commercial setting. Interns will gain hands-on experience at a job site, learning the fundamentals of project engineering through real-world applications. The role is designed to prepare interns for future full-time roles as Project Engineers by developing skills in communication, scheduling, document control, and field collaboration.

Essential Job Functions :

• Project Support : Assist Project Managers with documentation, scheduling, and coordination tasks across multiple phases of our project.
• Field Exposure : Spend time on the job site to observe construction sequencing, safety practices, and collaboration between field teams and project management.
• Procurement & Logistics : Help track deliveries and assist in the procurement of major equipment and subcontractor services.
• Document Control : Learn to manage project documents in compliance with company standards and contractual requirements.
• Estimating & Change Orders : Support the preparation of estimates and change orders under the guidance of the project team.
• Technical Review : Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and fabrication packages.
• Software Training : Gain exposure to industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam, Smartsheet, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Viewpoint (training provided).
