Position Overview

A well-established Urgent Care clinic in Western Illinois is seeking a Locum Tenens Urgent Care Physician (MD / DO) to join its team. This role offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Schedule

Shifts : 6a 6p or 10a 10p (typically 4 consecutive shifts)

MD / DO may work independently from 6a 9a

NP may work independently from 9p 10p

Walk-in clinic averaging

patients per day, shared among 3 providers

Clinical Scope

Typical urgent care presentations include :

Minor orthopedic injuries, x-rays, splinting, suturing

Foreign body removal (eye, skin)

Respiratory illnesses (cough, sore throat, flu)

Dermatologic complaints (rashes, minor infections)

Urinary tract infections, STD testing, pelvic exams

Procedural skills required : Splinting and suturing

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine

Certifications : ATLS and PALS required

Active Illinois medical license

Prior urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred
