Facility Cleaning Specialist, Full Time

divh2Deep Cleaning And Painting Services / h2pThis position is based in Anchorage but will primarily perform deep cleaning and painting services to facilities throughout Alaska. The position is full time. / ppThis position requires the employee to work independently with minimal supervision. / ph3Responsibilities / h3ulliCleans offices, public spaces, industrial areas, warehouses, exterior areas, and additional areas as required. / liliAssists journeyman level painter in small interior painting projects. / liliSweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors. / liliCleans carpets. / liliDusts both low and high areas using ladders and lifts. / liliWipes down or cleans various surfaces to include walls and ceilings. / liliCleans windows. / liliUses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks. / liliRemoves and properly disposes of discarded materials. / liliRemoves and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas. / liliMay change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance. / liliMay operate a vehicle. / liliPosition requires routine weekly, overnight stays within the State of Alaska with travel by aircraft. / liliOther related duties may also be assigned. / li / ulh3Qualifications / h3ulliHigh School diploma or GED equivalent. / liliSome combination or education or experience that evidences a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes. Experience in facility maintenance and painting preferred. / liliA valid Alaskan drivers license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the companys insurance carrier. / liliAbility to work independently with minimal supervision. / liliPosition requires successful screening through multiple background and security checks. / liliGood written verbal communication skills. / liliSafety conscious. / liliGood people skills, personable professional. / liliReliable, versatile, well-organized, disciplined, self-starter. / liliMath skills sufficient to calculate figures and amounts. / li / ulpSkills and Abilities / ppBackground position ranking skill levels : Language skills sufficient to : / pulliRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. / liliWrite routine reports and correspondence. / liliSpeak effectively before others. / liliRead and utilize electrical drawing, logic diagrams, and schematics. / li / ulpWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements / ppWeather : Indoors and outdoors, frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. / ppNoise level : Moderate to loud. / ppDescription of environment : Environment will vary based on the facility assigned to. / ppPhysical requirements : Employee is required to lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently to constantly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands / fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk / hear, see, taste / smell, and carry weight / lift.
